Acrobatic team from Moscow wins gold in freestyle routine at Russian Championships

The Russian Synchronised Swimming Championships in Kazan concluded with an acrobatic team competition. The Moscow-3 team won with its freestyle routine, earning 92.5667 points.

The team included Valeria Arkhipova, Varvara Onischenko, Valeria Bakhareva, Victoria Bushuyeva, Ksenia Viktorova, Polina Galikeyeva, Polina Kryuchkova, Maria Petrukhina, Polina Polyanskaya, Kira Snisarenko, Polina Solovyova, and Anastasiya Trubinova.

“The road towards this victory was long and hard. We trained every day,” Polina Ganikeyeva explains. “This routine is new, we have never performed it anywhere before the Championships.”

The second place was taken by the Moscow-1 team, with a score of 91.2667: Alina Gerber, Kristina Melkomova, Elizaveta Sergeyeva, Maria Karlikova, Svetlana Fedorova, Olga Kritskaya, Maria Chuykova, Maria Kryuchkova, Victoria Boyeva, Sofya Kulikova, and Angelina Glitskova.

The bronze medal for the third place was awarded to the team from Tatarstan (89.3667 points). The team members were: Olesya Arkhipova, Anna Gordeyeva, Galina Luchsheva, Aleksandra Lyamasova, Victoria Malysheva, Valeria Popova, Adelina Sagitova, Karina Sevryugina, Alina Tikhomirova, Diana Khabibullina, Tatyana Kiryakova, and Adelya Sarvarova.

According to the overall results of the Championships, the first place went to Moscow, the second, to Saint Petersburg, and the third, to the Republic of Tatarstan.
