The KAI Olymp Culture and Sports Complex is one of the largest sports venues in Kazan, which makes part of five best sports complexes in Russia. The venue was commissioned specially for the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 competitions. The venue comprises a universal sports hall, indoor swimming pool, and stadium.

The venue is used for holding the education and training activities of students of the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. Tupolev – KAI (KNRTU KAI), university sports teams in basketball, handball, and futsal, as well as of students of children’s sports schools.

As part of the 2013 Summer Universiade, the venue hosted the basketball tournament. In 2021, dance sport competitions took place in the KAI OLYMP sports hall as part of the CIS Games programme. Also the venue hosted the Golden Ring Cup swimming competitions (2022), championship and competition of the Volga Federal District in fitness aerobics (2023), etc.
