The Sports Capital International U15 Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament was held on 26-30 March 2018 at the KAI OLIMP Cultural and Sports Complex.
About tournament
The tournament was held in memory of Tatarstan Basketball Federation President Gennady Vetrov, an outstanding sports and physical culture figure, who contributed a lot into development of youth and student basketball in the republic.
Boys and girls under 15 participated in the event. Kazan brought together 10 teams from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Moscow Oblast, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Kursk, Republic of Tatarstan, as well as a team from Kazakhstan and a team from Estonia.
The tournament was held with the aim of promoting and enhancing basketball development in the Republic of Tatarstan, strengthening international friendly relations among athletes, and creating a platform to develop young basketball talents.
