The Tatarstan Artistic Gymnastics Individual Open Cup was held at the Gymnastics Centre, Kazan on March 27-April 1, 2013. About 150 athletes took part in the tournament. The event was overseen by 64 judges.
Among the competitors were Tatarstan’s most talented artistic gymnasts and members of the Russian national team such as Shamil Gatiyatov, Maxim Sinichkin, Mansur Zaripov (all are gold medallists at the 2012 Russian Artistic Gymnastics Championship), Insaf Idiyatullin (medal winner at the 2012 Spartakiade of Russian Federation Sports Schools), Marat Khabibullin (runner-up at the 2012 Spartakiade of Russian Federation Sports Schools).
Tatarstan’s national team was challenged by top gymnasts from five federal districts: Volga, Central, Southern, Siberian and Urals, as well as by athletes of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
