All-Russian Educational Camp Volunteers’ Academy 2021 has started in the Universiade Village in Kazan today. It is a part of the volunteers campaign of the Special Olympics World Winter Games Kazan 2022, which takes place on 20-25 May.
The camp brings together 75 participants: representatives of higher educational institutions of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan, activists of the Kazan Volunteers movement, representatives of five regions of Russia, which have been key partners in the implementation of the volunteer program for a long time.
The Camp participants are divided into two groups: “Recruiters” and “Trainers”. Participants of the “Recruiters” group will study in detail the recruiting procedure, which is one of the most essential stages in volunteers program implementation, as well as acquire all the necessary interviewing skills that will allow them to participate in the selection process of volunteers. Participants of the “Trainers” group will expand their knowledge of the non-formal education techniques, will get acquainted with the educational program concept and the specifics of training volunteers for the Games.
Extended educational and cultural programs are prepared for all the participants. A preparation plan for the pre-Games time will be drawn up during the training. Prepared information materials will allow the Camp participants to work on the volunteers’ selection and training.
