European Short Course Swimming Championships will be held on November 2-7 at the Aquatics Palace in Kazan for the first time. Sports programme will include 20 events (18 individual and 2 swimming relays) and 2 medley relay events among men and women.
European Swimming Championships (25 m) are held under the auspices of the European Swimming League (LEN). On December 7, 2019, at the LEN Bureau meeting in Glasgow, Kazan was unanimously chosen as the 2021 host city. The Championships were held annually from 1996 to 2013. New schedule was introduced in 2013, so now the tournament takes place in odd-numbered years.
In 2024, the capital of Tatarstan will also host the LEN European Aquatics Championships for the first time.
