Alena Efimova set Russia’s high jump record at the First All-Russian Urban Games in Kazan. The athlete from St. Petersburg beat the previous record by 10 cm.

Alena Efimova from St. Petersburg set Russia’s roller high jump record at the first All-Russian Urban Games. She cleared the height of 131 cm, with the previous record being 121 cm. This result gave the victory to Alena Efimova. Anna Petrova came second, while Anna Volokitina took the bronze.

“I had a great impression of the Urban Games. It is based on my performance. I set a personal record that will become the official record of Russia — 131 cm standing jump on rollers. I have enjoyed the organisation very much, the atmosphere was splendid. This place brings together different sports, everybody cheers for each other, are happy for each other. This is amazing.

We should continue hosting these Games in the future. They give athletes a chance to show themselves, while people get to witness these sports live, which are not so easy to come across. Some people even go ahead and ask what certain sports are, cause they never knew they existed. These competitions introduce people to urban sports as a whole,” said Alena Efimova.

Among junior boys, Ivan Kutsev from St. Petersburg won the gold.
