The FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2019 took place at the Aquatics Palace (70 Sibgata Khakima St.), Kazan on 19-21 April 2019.

About tournament

The FINA International Swimming Federation endorsed the initiative of Russia to be part of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series in 2019-2021.

The event kicked off in Europe with three hosts: Paris (France, 28 February –3 March), Alexandroupolis (Greece, 4-7 April) and Kazan (Russia, 19-21 April). Two Asian hosts, Tokyo (Japan) and Beijing (China) will then welcome the 2019 circuit on 27-29 April and on 4-5 May respectively. The artistic swimming competition will then move to North America: Greensboro (USA, 24-26 May) and Quebec (Canada, 30 May – 1 June). Finally, the circuit will conclude in Barcelona (Spain, 31 May – 2 June).

The three-day competition programme features competitions in such events as team (technical and free routine), solo (technical and free routine), duet, duet combination (technical and free routine), combined programme, acrobatic team. The best teams according to the competition results will compete for medals in the Super Final.

History of tournament in Kazan

The capital of Tatarstan hosted international artistic swimming competitions during the 16th FINA World Championships 2015, Summer Universiade 2013, and FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships 2016. In 2013, 2014 and 2018, the Russian Synchronised Swimming Championship took place in Kazan.
