On 7-12 November 2025, the Russian Swimming Championships (25m) took place at the Aquatics Palace in Kazan. Over 1,000 swimmers from all across Russia were competing for the champion’s title.

 

About the Championships

 

48 sets of medals were awarded during the competition. The season’s principal short-course event featured the leaders of the Russian swimming, including Olympic medalists, world and European champions and record holders: Kliment Kolesnikov, Evgeniya Chikunova, Miron Lifintsev, Egor Kornev, Darya Klepikova, Kirill Prigoda, Arina Surkova, Ivan Kozhakin, Ilya Borodin, Pavel Samusenko, Darya Trofimova, Andrey Minakov, Ivan Girev, Vladislav Grinev, and others.

What was at stake were not just medals but a prize money exceeding 14 million rubles. Championships results determined the strongest swimmers of the season and winners within the competition cluster.

This event was also remarkable for the Russian Aquatics Federation that celebrated its first anniversary. It is the Russian Short Course Swimming Championships that marked the starting point in the history of victories for the united Federation.
