The solemn ceremony of the artistic postage stamp cancellation was held on February 22 in the City of Games of the Future, which on the same day opened to the public at the Kazan Expo IEC.
The stamp was manufactured in a circulation of 80 thousand copies. It depicts a phygital flame, a symbol of Games of the Future, the embodiment of harmony between the real and virtual worlds. An NFT version of the stamp has also been released with the support of VK NFT.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, General Director of AO Russian Post Mikhail Volkov, President of the All-Russian Federation of Phygital Sports, Olympic champion in gymnastics Nikita Nagorny and cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of Russia, Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cooperation in the Field of Space, Executive Director for Human Space Programs of the Roscosmos State Space Corporation Sergey Krikalev. They left autographs on envelopes with a new stamp, after which Dmitry Chernyshenko stamped the postmark on these envelopes.
“It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the first Games of the Future. They will be remembered many decades later. We are witnessing the birth of a new format thanks to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who has found a unique combination so that our children do not fly away into virtual reality forever, but understand that there is also a real world. We see how new heroes are born, harmoniously developed both in cyberspace and in real sports, showing outstanding human abilities. And the stamps we have issued symbolize travel to the world of the future,” Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
“Yesterday, the President of Russia launched a new movement that unites the physical and digital worlds, different generations, and people from all over the world. The issued stamp, I am sure, will become a prize for which collectors and philatelists will fight. Because Games of the Future is for a long time, and in many years people will look at this stamp and remember this day,” Mikhail Volkov noted.

Sports are changing, new disciplines are emerging. The phygital laboratory is actively working. We try to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to realize themselves. All owners of a unique collection of physical stamps will be able to receive its digital version in the VK NFT application to an internal NFT wallet, a lightweight and accessible version of the crypto wallet directly on VKontakte.
This opens up a new step in digital collecting and makes it easy to confirm the originality of the physical work.
