Games of the Future are continuing in Kazan.
The finalists of the CS2 + Laser Tag tournament were determined at the Kazan Tennis Academy on Tuesday. The xGod team from Kazakhstan beat the Yakut HOTU. After two maps, the score in the match was equal, and according to the rules of discipline, everything was decided in the Laser Tag arena. At the same time, Mikhail Dosia Stolyarov‘s team fought back during the meeting, and yet it was it who was stronger at the physical stage – 6:3 and 2-1 in the match.
“Of course, there is a prospect for this format. And the tournament itself is very valuable to us. At the moment, I am not only a player, but also the owner of the organization, and we are currently suffering, from the point of view of the organization, financial losses. We are on the verge of disintegration, but if we win, we may be able to find sponsors or partners,” Mikhail Stolyarov, a player of the xGod team, said after the match.
The winners of the Phygital Games 2023 and the Russian CS:GO champions from Looking for ORG became the second finalist. In the match against the LoveKazan team, they missed a big advantage on the second map, losing 14:16, but at the physical stage they showed their superiority – 6:1.
The quarterfinals of the Phygital Basketball with SBER discipline have ended. The R10 Team USA snatched victory from Dangerous from Montenegro with a difference of one point (32:31). The Russian Liga Pro Team, in which Mikhail BigBabyMish Panchenko earned the most points in the simulator – 14 and Shalva Shell Shatashvili – 8 points on the LED floor, did not leave any chances to the opponents from Antananarivo (Madagascar) – 33:18.
“The game was very intense both at the consoles and on the floor. We are very tired, but we are still happy to be here. We will select a strategy for the semi-finals. I really liked Kazan. The city is impressive in its scale, the same applies to the tournament itself. Everything is at the highest level here,” said Henry Caruso from R10 Team USA.
The URAL Basket team knocked Serbian Partizan Esports out of the tournament – 36:31, and Chinese MDMX athletes beat Paris Phygital – 27:24.
At Kazan Expo, the group stage of the Gazprom Phygital Football discipline ended with matches in groups C and B. The FDC Vista team lost to Team CMR from Cameroon with a score of 6:8, missing their chances in the simulator. CHP CHILE defeated Serbian Crvena Zvezda (6:1) and directly made it to the quarterfinals.
“The mood is uplifted after the victory, we will continue in the same spirit,” said CHP CHILE player Thomas Giordanno Arancia Avendeno. “In the game, we pushed away from the opponent. We came out calmly, we had time to think, to calculate the match. We are very pleased that the spectators supported us so much and admired the game. The Peñarol team from Uruguay dominated the meeting with the Turkish Besiktas Esports, winning with a score of 12:4. In the game between Rotor International and México Quetzales, the Mexican athletes turned out to be stronger, winning with by one goal 7:6. At the digital stage, they were helped by the winner of the World Cup in cyber football, Hoksan Hector Redona Tello, and the American team defended competently on the field.
In YOTA Phygital MOBA. MLBB Tournament, the group stage of the tournament has completed. According to the results of the group stage, four teams won tickets to the quarterfinals: RRQ Hoshi, AP.Bren, Blacklist International and ONIC. On Thursday, the teams Twisted Minds and Burmese Ghouls, DeusVult and HomeBois, Burn x Flash and Fire Flux Esports will meet in 1/8 of the tournament, and Royal Cybersport Club will play against Team Flash.

The third discipline of the Tactical Challenge – Standoff 2 + Laser Tag started at the Kazan Tennis Academy. The prize fund of the tournament is 250 thousand dollars, and the best Russian teams are fighting for it. On the first day of the group stage, SaiNts and RevialGG met, and the “Saints” almost suffered an unexpected defeat. After winning the first map, they allowed the opponent to even the score, and in Laser Tag they were 1:4 behind. Nevertheless, one of the main favorites of Games was able to save the match – 6:4.
“We need to remember that a new player has joined our team and our captain has changed. Nevertheless, we won the first map, and conceded the second with a minimum score. And we were confident in our Laser Tag,” said Timur Johny Rizaev from SaiNts.
In the second game, Absolute, losing on the starting map, was able to turn the tide of the match and won in the Laser Tag.
Qualification in the Positive Technologies Drone Racing discipline has begun at the Trudovye Rezervy Stadium. Leading pilots from all over the world gathered in Kazan, and the prize fund of the competition is $ 250 thousand.
The fastest qualifying team was Team Min’s Korea from South Korea (total time – 2.49.443), for which the champion in the World Drone Cup Min Chang Kim performs. The Korean team beat the French pilots from Exigence ((2.50.964), it includes the winner of DCL23 and E-FAI world champion Svan Vorsmissen. The Russians from Team Reactor finished the third, their gap from the leaders was just over 8 seconds (2.58.318). The quarterfinals will be held on Wednesday.
“The races that take place here are different from those that take place in Korea. At Games of the Future, two teams come out at once, 50 passing laps are provided and only four batteries. Usually there is only one battery for three laps. You have to fly slower so that the drone can fly all the laps. It seems completely impossible, but we are working and this is a real challenge for us,” said reigning world champion Min Chang Kim from Team Min’s Korea. “Games of the Future is different from other international competitions. But it’s a great practice to learn how to fly a drone in other conditions.”

MLBB Tournament will also begin at Kazan Expo. Besides that, the group stages in the Standoff 2 + Laser Tag tournaments will continue.
Vkusno – I Tochka Phygital Skateboarding competitions with the participation of top Russian and foreign athletes will start at Kazan Expo. The Speedrun + Super Final tournament and the group stage of the INTERROS Sports Programming discipline will begin in the IT Park.
