Applications are now being accepted for the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” 2026. This year, the event will be held from May 12 to May 17 at various venues in Kazan, and the two-day business program will take place at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center on May 14-15.
The First Congress of Islamic national banks in Russia, attended by heads of financial institutions from 24 countries will become a key event of the business program, as well as the annual AAOIFI International Conference “Using the Potential of Partnership Finance in the Economic Development of the Russian Federation”. KazanForum 2026 will also host the first-ever International Congress “Security of Energy Supply in Eurasia” and the presentation of investment projects from across Russia. The program will traditionally include the International Forum of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the International Exhibition “Russia & Islamic World Cooperation Expo”, the Islamic Fashion Festival, and the Yunus Akhmetzyanov International Young Chefs’ Tournament. The third international real estate exhibition, International Property Market 2026, will also take place during the Forum; this year, it will be located in the same building as the business program.
“This forum is very important, and we will certainly support it, as it is another thread connecting us with our friends and allies in the Arab world and the Islamic world as a whole – and, without exaggeration, with the Global South,” the Russian President noted during the “Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin”.
“The dialogue between Russia and the Islamic world has deep historical roots. It is the interaction of long-established civilizations that have formed a common cultural and historical space across Eurasia. The concepts of justice and mutual support, as well as respect for older generations, family values, peoples, and religions, are crucial to these civilizations,” said Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World”, during the meeting of the Organizing Committee for the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”.
“Tatarstan has been Russia’s flagship region in developing cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries for many years. During this time, we have accumulated practical experience in interacting with investors, financial institutions, and business communities in the Islamic world. We are ready to expand these practices and experience to other regions and Russian companies interested in entering the OIC markets and building long-term partnerships,” said Taliya Minullina, a member of the Federal Organizing Committee and the Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
