The Burevestnik Indoor Swimming Pool is situated on the premises of the Universiade Village. It comprises a 50m pool, universal sports hall (for volleyball, basketball, and futsal with TeraflexSport M Perfomance flooring), dry land training hall with parquet flooring, and a gym.
Next to the building is the track-and-field stadium, where education and training activities, athletics competitions, municipal, regional and schools’ competitions take place. In 2018, the venue hosted the skiing competitions within the 11th Alexander Popov Cup. And in 2023, snowshoe running competitions were held here as part of the United Games by the Special Olympics rules.
The Burevestnik Swimming Pool is also used as the venue for staging Russian and international competitions. It hosted the water polo tournament as part of the Summer Universiade 2013, and competitions in swimming and artistic swimming of the 11th Alexander Popov Cup 2018.
The All-Russian swimming competitions “Rector’s Cup of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism” and Svetlana Romashina Cup International Artistic Swimming Competitions were more than once held on the premises of the Burevestnik Swimming Pool.
