17th International Economic Forum  “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” 2026

From 14 to 15 May 2026, the “Kazan Expo” International Exhibition Centre hosted the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”. Besides the business programme, the Forum combined rich cultural and sporting events that were held on several sites across Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan throughout 12 and 17 May.

 

About the Forum

 

“Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” is the principal platform of the economic cooperation of the Russian Federation and countries of the Islamic world. The Forum’s goal is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technological, social, and cultural ties between Russia and the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The international economic forum of Russia and participating countries debuted in 2009 having set up an international platform to bring up the issues of cooperation and implementation of joint projects.

2026 was the fourth time the Forum was held at the federal level. The importance of the upcoming event climbed as Kazan had acquired the status of the cultural capital of the Islamic world.

The 2026 Forum’s business programme featured 10 thousand representatives of 99 countries and 75 Russian regions. More than 152 events, 133 sessions with the participation of 925 speakers took place and 130 agreements were signed as part of the Forum. Over 529 media representatives from 20 countries covered the event.
