About Games

As part of its preparations for the Games of Future, in September Kazan played host to the first Phygital Games in four disciplines: phygital football (FIFA + futsal), phygital basketball (NBA + streetball), beat saber and drone racing. The next competitions were held in November-December and featured three new phygital disciplines:

  • Phygital racing (Assetto Corsa + karting), 24 November, KazanMall

The Phygital Games opened a new format of racing competitions: participants completed 20 laps in a go-kart race and 10 virtual laps based on the Assetto Corsa simulator. The results of the qualification were taken into account at the start of the races.

Teams in the up to 73 kg weight category performed in the phygital fighting tournament. Athletes had one fight in Mortal Kombat 11, and then showed their physical fitness in fights according to the rules of MMA.

Phygital teams competed in an ice hockey tournament. First, athletes played in NHL 22 in the Threes Eliminator format, and then they played ice hockey according to the rules of 3*3 hockey.
