The III stage of the “Solidarity Games” international competitions has commenced in Kazan. On 9-11 December, the Aquatics Palace will be hosting a swimming tournament while artistic swimming performances will be taking place at the Burevestnik venue. Diving competitions start on 14 December.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and personally myself, I welcome the participants, guests and organisers of the III stage of the “Solidarity Games”. On the New Year’s Eve, Kazan is happy to welcome more than 1,000 athletes from 12 countries; future stars of swimming, diving and artistic swimming. The two previous stages have proven to be spectacular competitions where Russian and international records were broken and set. And now it is with immense anticipation that we await new dazzling programmes and overwhelming performances that the whole world will be following. I wish all participants good health, intense competition, and wonderful victories,” announced Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation.
The Games III stage is expected to gather more than 1,300 members of delegations, including about 1,020 athletes, 280 officials from 12 countries, 104 technical officials, as well as one technical delegate. The competitions will also see a master class by Alexandra Patskevich, an Olympic artistic swimming champion.
The Solidarity Games are taking place under the aegis of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Swimming Federation, Russian Synchronised Swimming Federation, and Russian Diving Federation.

The Solidarity Games are international competitions in swimming, artistic swimming, and diving that have been running in Kazan from July to December 2022.
