Arina Openysheva comes first in 100 m freestyle race at the Russian Swimming Championships

Today, on the third day of the championships, Arina Openysheva from the Krasnoyarsk Krai won a gold medal. She finished the 100 m freestyle race at 54.67.

Afterwards the athlete commented that her last race had taken place almost a year ago, yet today she still performed well. Openysheva stated that this championships served as a trial for a major race that will take place in April 2021, and will help her analyse her performance and determine weak spots.

Elizaveta Klevanovich, Tyumen Oblast, came second (54.78). Ekaterina Nikonova, Novosibirsk Oblast, won bronze (54.88).
