All-Russian University Canoe Sprint Competitions were held at the Rowing Centre on June 22-26. The event was organised by the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, Russian Student Sports Union (RSSU), All-Russian Canoe Sprint Federation, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate.
About tournament
The competitions were equivalent to the RSSU Canoe/Kayak Championship. Winners in 12 boat classes were decided at the tournament.
Only athletes with the second grade and higher were eligible for the competitions: full-time students of higher vocational education establishments; students of higher education establishments that graduated on the year previous to the year of the competitions.
Individual event winners were decided in each discipline. Team standings were defined based on the total points gained by the teams in two final races. Two best results in individual events and one best in team events were counted in each discipline. Points were credited for the place the teams took.
