The Republic of Tatarstan Badminton Championship was held in Kazan between June 2 and 4, 2013. The competitions took place at the Tennis Academy, located on 101 Orenburgsky Trakt.
Up to 300 athletes came together to compete in 32 medal events. 57 officials oversaw the tournament.
The badminton competition was one of the test events in the lead-up to the 27th Summer Universiade 2013. Badminton is an optional sport in the World University Games programme. It made its debut at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok (Thailand).
