The Russian Short Course Swimming Championship 2019 took place at the Aquatics Palace (70 Sibgata Khakima St.) in Kazan on 5-10 November 2019. More than 800 swimmers from almost 60 Russian regions competed for champion titles.

About competition

The capital of Tatarstan hosted the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship for the sixth time. Russia’s best swimmers came to Kazan to participate in the main national event of the season, including Olympic medallists Sergey and Anastasia Fesikov, winners and medallists of European and world Championships – Klement Kolesnikov, Vladislav Grinev, Alexander Krasnykh, Oleg Kostin, Mikhail Vekovishchev, Martin Malyutin, Grigory Tarasevich, Rosalia Nasretdinova, Maria Kameneva, Veronika Andrusenko, Daria Ustinova, Daria Vaskina, Svetlana Chimrova and many others.

Winners of this year’s edition of the tournament competed to win a spot at the LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships in Glasgow, Scotland (4-8 December 2019).

The Russian Short Course Swimming Championship 2019 was organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, ANO Directorate for Sports and Social Projects, Russian Swimming Federation, and Swimming Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
