Kazan’s Aquatics Palace (70 Sibgata Khakima str.) hosted the Russian Swimming Championships on 25-30 October 2020. Within six days up to 400 swimmers competed for medals in 42 events.

About сhampionships

Athletes from 60 Russian regions came to participate at the national championship in Kazan. Swimmers from the FINA Development Centre in Kazan, as well as athletes from Belarus also participated in the competition.

The organizers of the Championships were the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan, Directorate for Sports and Social Projects, Russian Swimming Federation and Swimming Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Competition results

The championships participants set six records of Russia. Andrey Minakov of St. Petersburg broke the world junior record, as well as the Russian junior record and European junior record, in the men’s 100m freestyle. Swimmers of St. Petersburg were unbeatable in medley relays, yielding the title only twice and only to swimmers from Moscow.
